Start of CODE4EV journey

We are delighted to inform you that the CODE4EV project has been proposed for funding under the Horizon Europe framework. This forward-thinking initiative is dedicated to the advancement of software-defined vehicles, a cutting-edge field that has the potential to revolutionise automotive technology by combining innovation, efficiency, and customisation.

A dynamic consortium of 14 partners from 8 European Union states is assembled by the CODE4EV initiative. The transition to highly adaptive and smart vehicle systems is being pioneered by each member, who offers a unique combination of expertise and motivation. The European commitment to spearheading global innovations in automotive technology is emphasised by this cross-border collaboration. This initiative not only aligns with the European Green Deal but also advances the automotive industry towards a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.

Stay tuned for additional updates as we commence this fascinating expedition to strength the automotive industry through innovative research and collaboration.

CODE4EV Glossary: Collaborative Development Framework

A Colalborative Development Framework (CoDe-Framework) includes tools that enable remote, distributed, and shared development processes for the SDV design. The framework has a layered structure. Application Layer may include a full (by “manager”) or partial (by “agents”) replication of a SDV architecture as well as cloud-based elements, e.g., dynamic datasets, decision-maker components et al. Interface Layer is allocated for co-simulation interface and middleware, where required, i.e., this layer is optional. Communication and Link Layers are responsible for the networking of cooperating hosts / tasks and for data exchange.

The proposed CoDe-framework follows the concept, which was introduced by several consortium participants in the previous H2020 project XILfoEV and is being essentially advanced and reworked for the CODE4EV project
